Overview
January 2015
To kick off the new year in 2016, Christopher Wu and I, Naomi Jow, decided to launch a project called "Pack n' Pray". After realizing how blessed we both were, we desired to blessed others and put God's love on display. Although it was a new year, we were determined to show that God's love was the same.
As seniors in high school, we looked to our church, First Evangelical Church of Diamond Bar, to help us put this idea into action. Much of the planning and logistics were directed by Christopher and me. All of the support and manpower was supplied by the church and Pomona Valley Christian Center.
Reflection
If I ever chose to relaunch this project, I would like to market it a lot more with the intention of getting more people involved. Only about 30% of First Evangelical Church of Diamond Bar's English Ministry participated in this outreach event. Although it was still successful, with more people, we would be able to reach a lot more homeless people throughout the city. In addition, I would have also started this project earlier to raise money for a larger quantity of backpacks. With more backpacks, we will be able to bless and share the Gospel with more people.
