Overview

August - December 2017

During my Sophomore year at Biola University, I had the opportunity to work with five other students and create a marketing mix for AniMichele, a nail polish company.

 

In this project, we analyzed the company's internal, competitive, and macroeconomic environments in order to create a marketing mix. We also conducted a SWOT analysis, discovered several competitors in the market, and provided a detailed explanation of the recommended market segments to target. 

At the end of the semester, my group and I presented a three-year marketing plan to Ani Sousamian, founder and CEO of AniMichele. 
 

Reflection

Looking back at this project, one thing I would have done differently is establish a better chain of communication with my team members. Due to our lack of communication early on, we had conflicting ideas about roles and expectations for the group. This affected the project and caused some members to incur more undesired work.

Since then, I have improved my communication and collaboration skills by vocalizing my thoughts and sharing expectations for myself and others when working in a team. This has allowed many of my following projects to be more successful in regards to teamwork.
